Transaction Fees, Revamped: What Changed & Why It Matters

Transaction fees are the quiet tax on every order. Small on their own, huge in aggregate — and they touch every profit number you look at in TrueProfit.
This update refreshes the Transaction Fees experience from end to end, with a setup flow that's clearer, faster to complete, and more consistent as your payment methods change.
A Redesigned Setup Page With A Guided Flow
The Transaction Fees page is now a unified setup experience — built to make setup feel straightforward from the first click.
The new UI makes it easier to understand how fees are handled — with clearer labels and more guidance inside the setup flow.
What this means for you
- Less "did I do this right?" doubt
- More confidence that your profit numbers reflect reality

Payment Gateways Are Detected Automatically
Before, gateway setup could be easy to overlook — especially if your store uses multiple payment methods or starts testing a new one.
Now, TrueProfit detects the payment gateways used in your Shopify orders. You can review them and adjust anything you need.
What this means for you
- Less manual setup work
- Less risk of missing a gateway as your store evolves
New Integrations: PayPal & Stripe
PayPal and Stripe are two of the most widely used payment providers for online businesses.
With this release, you can connect PayPal or Stripe in TrueProfit to automatically sync transaction fee data, so your fee tracking stays aligned as orders come in.

I’m part of the TrueProfit content team, but before that, I’m an eCom nerd with 3 years of hands-on experience. I’ve done a bit of everything, but running high-performing ads and making sense of the numbers? That’s my thing. If it’s written here, it’s because I’ve lived it.
